HE WENT TO SEA SCHOOL FROM THE AGE OF 15 AND WENT ON TO BE A MERCHANT SEAMAN UNTIL HE RETIRED IN HIS LATE 40'S.
HE WAS BORN IN TOBAGO ST, CALTON, GLASGOW TO THOMAS AND MARGARET HOLLIS, HE HAD A TWIN CALLED FRANK AND 4 OLDER BROTHERS CALLED, SHUG, TAM, GEORGE, WULL & 2 OLDER SISTERS CALLED MARGARET & ROBERTA.
MARRIED VICKY (VIOLET McCONWAY) 29 OCT 1976 UNTIL HIS PASSING.
ANYONE WHO KNEW MY DAD NEW HE WAS A GEM, KIND HEARTED TO ALL ESPECIALLY THE ONES HE HELD DEAR TO HIM.
MY DAD HAS BEEN GONE NEARLY 9 YRS AND NOT A DAY GOES BY WHEN HES NOT THOUGHT OF ESPACIALLY WHEN TIMES ARE ROUGH AND THE HARDEST THING IN LIFE TO BARE IS TO WANT YOUR DAD AND HES NOT THERE..
YOU'LL BE MISSED, LOVED AND THOUGHT OF UNTIL WE MET AGAIN.

He was always there for me,
Through every tummy ache and skinned knee,

Needed reassurance everything was all right.

The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
